If you are a non-residential customer you may apply for a wastewater audit to be carried out on your premises. This is where we assess the percentage of your water consumption that does not go into the wastewater network. This could be due to a variety of reasons including evaporation, an air conditioning cooling tower unit or water that is being used in a product. If, after carrying out a wastewater audit, we agree that your charges for wastewater should differ from the standard charge (which is 100% of water supplied to your premises), the new charge will become effective from the date of your next invoice.
Requesting a wastewater audit

A wastewater audit incurs a cost of $100 (GST inclusive), which will be charged to your Metrowater account.
