Investment, repair and renewal work on the water and wastewater systems is vital to maintaining high levels of water quality, reliability of the network, and to keep pace with our growing population and increasing demand from commercial customers.

From major capital projects to routine maintenance work, such as air scouring, these works are focused on improving service to our customers and ensuring that Aucklanders get the best from the water and waste water networks. 

Our goal is always to minimise any disruption to customers but keep water shutdowns to a minimum by reconfiguring the water supply while works are underway. In cases where water supplies to homes or businesses are affected, we work closely with the community to plan the timing of the shutdown and restore supply as soon as possible.
