These charges cover the cost of operating, maintaining, and renewing Auckland City’s pipe networks. They also cover the cost of bulk water and wastewater services provided by Watercare. |

For the transportation of trade waste or non-domestic wastewater through the Metrowater network to the Watercare wastewater network. This charge does not include the wastewater treatment charge as Watercare charges trade waste consented customers directly |

1 kL = 1,000 litres
Your Metrowater bill also includes a wastewater charge based on 100% of water used as measured by your water meter. If you do not believe that all of the water you use is returning to the wastewater system, you can apply for a wastewater audit.
