Paying your account 

 

Metrowater offers a wide range of payment options designed to save you time and make it easier for you to pay your bill.

 

 

 

 

 Direct debit

 

 With a direct debit you’ll always be sure that your bill will be paid in full on the due date. So it couldn’t be more convenient and it ensures you’ll  receive your 10% prompt payment discount.

 

Setting up a direct debit is easy. Just download a Direct Debit Authority Form. Fill it out, return it to Metrowater and your direct debit should be operating within 14 days.

 

 

 

Automatic payment 

 

An automatic payment is a bit like a direct debit, but you pay a fixed amount from your account each week, fortnight, or month. If there’s still an amount owing when you receive your invoice, simply pay the outstanding balance by the due date.

 

To set up an automatic payment with your bank, you’ll need the following details about the Metrowater account that you will pay into:


 Name of Bank:  Westpac
 Branch:  Mid City, 229 Queen St
 Name of Account:  Metro Water Ltd
 Account details:  03 0296 0156353 002
 Reference:  12 digit reference number from your Metrowater bill

 

 

 

Telephone banking

 

You can easily pay your bill over the phone, using telephone banking. Just contact your bank to register for their service and set Metrowater up as one of your bill payees.

 

 

 

Internet banking

 

If you use online banking, you can add Metrowater to your payee options. When you receive your bill simply go online and transfer the due amount.

Credit card

 

Reward programmes on your credit card, and avoiding bank fees, can make paying this way a tempting option. Just download a Recurring Credit Card Authority or call us on (09) 624 4800 to request a form. All major credit cards are accepted. Allow 14 days to set up the authority and conformation will appear on the remittance portion of your bill.

 

 


Mail 

 

If you prefer to pay by cheque, you can post it in the reusable envelope that comes with your bill.

 

 

 

In person

 

You can pay your Metrowater bill over the counter at any NZ Post Shop or any Westpac branch, from Pukekohe to Orewa. Please take your remittance slip with you.
