Metrowater and Auckland City Council have together applied for resource consents, under the Resource Management Act, for the ongoing operation of Auckland City's stormwater, wastewater and combined networks.
As part of the network consent application we have prepared a comprehensive Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE) for our network.
In March 2001, Metrowater and Auckland City Council lodged joint resource consent applications for the ongoing development and operation of the city’s drainage network. Processing of the applications haas been deferred pending the results of further research and consultation.
Auckland City Council’s Long-term Plan 2006-2016
Auckland City Council has finished consulting with the local community on its long-term council community plan (LTCCP).
The submissions received on the LTCCP have helped to establish how we can improve the performance of the city’s stormwater and wastewater networks. Your input has helped us define the preferred options for improving our networks; the level of service and environmental outcomes they deliver; the rate at which these are achieved and where money is best spent on the networks.
The LTCCP will now set the strategic direction for our network resource consent applications. When the resource consents are granted, Metrowater and the Auckland City Council will work towards achieving these outcomes.
